Good things in Kitale

This week has been a good one :) we have been working hard. :) like always!! :) We are thinking about opening a new part of our area. :) we hope that works out well :) it is kind of crazy we are finding people to teach that live super far away but not many that stay in the towns. It’s kind of sad. But we do have this new family that we are teaching and we are hoping that they will be baptized they are super great!!! :) They gave us a big bag of avocados. Man those things are good. :)

I have been having such a good time here in Kitale. I think the members here are wonderful! :) I think after I strike oil and become rich I will build a house here. :) Only after I become rich. :) man I will have to start looking for that oil. :) The weather here is heating up a bit. But still it rains!!!! And when it rains it gets cold, same as in the mornings. We keep going no matter what gets put against us. The other day it hailed!!! ya I am not kidding!!!! little ice balls from the sky!!! And just in case you were wondering they hurt just as bad here as they do there. :)
The missionaries are doing wonderful!!! :) I can’t lie. this Zone is full of great missionaries!!! All of them want to work and do the best that they can! :) They are great people and I am happy to be serving with them :) The Kenyans are doing great too! many of them still hate they Church but we are trying hard to change that one person at a time :) but we have some great people we are teaching :) Ones name is Stephen and he is a head pastor of some church here. He is over like half of Kenya. it’s like we are teaching someone in the mission presidency. But he is doing well he even has a baptismal date :) we hope it will all work out but he has some problems with how he will support his family and what will happen to the people he is leading. But he is a great guy. Pray from him :)  

Well I have something cool to tell you :) I have just found out that our 2 AP's right now They are both from Idaho. And wait it gets better :) One is from North Fremont he told me to tell you GO HUSKIES :) I think you told me they were your rivals in high school is that right?? And wait here is another funny thing is that the other AP is from Rigby!! I’m not kidding. I thought that was super cool!! :) so I told them that when ever we go up that way we will have to say hi :) So I thought you would like to know that :) Ones name is Elder Raymond and the other is Elder Pocock. They are great guys!!!!
I bragged about you in priesthood yesterday :) told some stories :) we were talking about how the father should be the patriarch of the home. :)

Ya I was super happy to get the package too!!!!!!!!!! :) I am loving the candy and the sauce :) I can’t tell you how much I need to thank you!!!!! I am loving everything!!!!!!! thank you so much you are so good to me :) I love you mom! :) but sadly the candy is almost gone. It was just so good!!!!! and even the sauces :) OH MAN thank you so much for sending those!!!!!!!! you can keep them coming if you would like :) Also if it is ok could you send an oil vile? I lost mine. :( I found out when we were asked to give a blessing and it was gone. Wwe looked super hard for some oil and we were lucky to find some in a members scriptures :)

That is really nice of Bro Moss to say what he did. :) I really like blessing the sacrament!!! I feel bad that so many people let the words and the meaning go over their head and even when people say it we should say it like we mean it. :) It really makes me happy that he said that. :)

OK so I want to start something with you :) I will try and pick out a story each week to share with you. I bet my crappy emails have been driving you up the wall. sorry mom. :) I love you :) So I will try to do that. :) so that will start next week :)

You are so right I have been out for a long time. but I really don’t feel like I have been gone that long. I feel like I just went out. :) I can still remember the airport really well :) lol I do feel like this is where I need to be and that I know this place really well J

I guess I have one story that came into my mind when I read that. It is a story from my first area. I was in my 3rd transfer. So this is when I was still new but had a new comp too. I was with Elder Sumption. We had a dinner appointment with one of the members, who happened to be the 1st counselor in the stake presidency they are great people! They are called the Munenes. And they have kids. They have 3 2 boys and one girl the oldest boy is around 10 I think and the next is the girl and she is around 6 or 7 and the last is brand new. :) And we were there we put in the movie The Testaments. And it got to the part where they were crucifying Christ. I was sitting on the couch next to the girl and when she saw what they people were doing to Christ. She just broke down and started to cry. I was asking her if she is ok and she asked me "why would those people do that to Jesus?" As I was trying to comfort her I was thinking to myself. You can see the Love that this little girl has for the Lord. She has never met Him on earth but she knows who He is. and it really is a shame what those people did. I guess that’s not such a amazing story. But it is one that I won’t forget. mostly because of how I felt.
I guess I can share another about his lady who knew that the church was true. And would not let anything stop her from doing what she knew was right. The only problem is that the Church is not where she is at. But she knows that she needs to come. So Every Sunday she walked 4 hours to get to church. She would have to leave her house at 6 to get there on time. She walked and walked.  She has gone to the Temple now. :) and she has helped other people see the church and now there is a branch close to her home. :) She never missed a Sunday. :)

I hope that I am the kind of missionary the Lord wants. I don’t want to let Him down!!! That would be the WORST!!!!!!!!!!
